The Golden Brewery, founded by Adolph Coors in 1873, is the largest brewery by volume in the MillerCoors network today and is one of the largest single-site breweries in the world. 900 employees have the capacity to brew and package 13 million barrels annually.
Visitors can enjoy a 30-minute, self-paced tour highlighting the malting, brewing and packaging process. The free tours start at the corner of 13th and Ford streets in Golden and conclude with samples of our fine products (if you’re 21 or older with a valid ID) in our hospitality lounge and shopping in the Coors & Co. gift shop. Can and Glass Manufacturing Plants
The company also has a joint venture partnership with Ball Corporation in operating the nation’s largest aluminum can manufacturing plant with 300 employees and an end manufacturing plant with 100 employees in Golden. MillerCoors has a joint venture partnership with Owens-Illinois operating a glass bottle manufacturing plant with 260 employees in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
