Preventing Irresponsible Consumption

We want everyone to recognize and respect the boundary between enjoyment and overconsumption. We support efforts to help adults make responsible choices and we’re behind programs that keep customers safe if they ever need a little extra help.

You’ll also find us concentrating on ways to prevent illegal underage drinking and on educating people who sell our beers about responsible ways to serve and sell MillerCoors products to their customers.

BACCHUS Network™

MillerCoors supports the BACCHUS Network™, a university- and community-based network focusing on comprehensive health and safety initiatives. This nonprofit organization actively promotes student- and young adult-based leadership, both on campuses and in communities, to help young people make healthy and safe lifestyle decisions. Its focus areas include alcohol abuse, tobacco use, illegal drug use, unhealthy sexual practices and other high-risk behaviors.

Certified Alcohol Sales Training: CAST™

MillerCoors partners with its distributors to make this innovative program of alcohol sales training available. CAST was developed by Health Communications Inc. and made available to retailers by the National Association of Convenience Stores. CAST is accessible to MillerCoors distributors directly through HCI.

TEAM Coalition

We’re a longtime member of the TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) Coalition, an alliance of professional sports organizations, entertainment facilities, concessionaires, broadcasters, governmental traffic safety experts and brewers. We team with these partners to promote responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at sports facilities. TEAM Coalition trains thousands of stadium workers each year on how to handle alcohol-related incidents, and on the importance of educating fans about drinking responsibly and designating a sober driver.

TeamUp2Win

MillerCoors is a founding sponsor of TEAM Coalition’s TeamUp2Win program, a national employee engagement program that coincides with March’s college basketball tournament. The program encourages participants to root for their favorite college team, pledge to consume responsibly and never drive drunk.

TIPS Program

MillerCoors believes that servers have an important role when it comes to promoting the responsible enjoyment of our beers. That’s why we’re a founding sponsor of the TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) Program. Developed by Health Communications Inc., TIPS is designed to help servers encourage responsible drinking. It seeks to give servers the confidence, decision-making skills, and information they need to prevent underage drinking, drunk driving and overconsumption.

W.I.N. Foundation: Raise Your Standards

We worked with the W.I.N. Foundation to create Raise Your Standards—a program that helps thousands of college-age women make positive, healthy choices about drinking and dating relationships.
