To meet that need, Coors Light introduced the Cold Activated Bottle and Can, which feature the Rocky Mountains on the label in thermochromatic ink which turn blue when Coors Light has been chilled to the perfect temperature for ice cold refreshment.

For beer drinkers who prefer draft beer and a convenient package at home, Miller Lite and Coors Light introduced the 5.7 litre Home Draft system. The Home Draft system is CO2 pressurized, providing 16 12-ounce pours of great draft beer. It fits perfectly inside your fridge and stays fresh for up to 30 days, so you can enjoy the great taste of Miller Lite and the cold refreshment of Coors Light with every pour. With more than one-third of consumers preferring draft beer over bottled or canned beer, this package provides a true draft beer experience, delivering a consistent smooth pour.

The Miller Lite Aluminum Pint, a 16-ounce pint bottle that enhances the Miller Lite taste experience, was introduced nationally in 2009, and Coors Light Silver Bullet Aluminum Pint will complete its national rollout in spring 2012. With a wide mouth opening and resealable screw cap, the aluminum pint allows you to enjoy these beers wherever an occasion takes you – at home or at a beach. The aluminum pint combines the best of a bottle and can into one. The wider opening is like a bottle, making it more comfortable to drink from, while the aluminum provides the portability of a can.

Miller Lite introduced American beer drinkers to a new bottle that’s unlike anything they’ve seen before – the Vortex bottle with special designed grooves on the inside of the neck. The long-neck, 12-ounce amber Vortex Bottle is designed to let the great taste of Miller Lite flow right out. This unique new twist on the standard beer bottle will change the way you think about the beer-drinking experience.

The World’s Most Refreshing Beer continues to “out-cold” itself, as Coors Light packaging now features a new design that tells you when your beer is super cold. Studies indicate more than 70 percent of legal-drinking-age men have put their beer in the freezer to achieve their desired level of cold. The trick is to know when to take the beer out. Now on Coors Light bottles and cans, the iconic mountains still turn blue when the beer is cold, and when the Coors Light temperature is at the peak of refreshment, a second Super Cold Indicator bar turns blue. New Coors Light Two-Stage Activation bottles and cans make it easy to see when your Coors Light goes from cold... to Super Cold.
