MillerCoors “Holiday Lites” Display Returns to Brighten the Miller Valley this Holiday Season

MillerCoors will kick off its annual holiday celebration Friday, December 2, when the “Holiday Lites,” return to Milwaukee. More than 300,000 LED lights, synchronized to a mix of modern and traditional holiday music, will light up Miller Valley at the Milwaukee Brewery.

Residents and visitors to the Milwaukee-area are invited to visit the Miller Valley and take the Miller Brewery Tour to experience this long-standing holiday tradition. While there, visitors will receive a free mini tour, including the Lite Show, one-of-a-kind Historic Miller Caves and beer samples for those 21 and older. Guest will be some of the first to view a new film which features the “Girl in the Moon,” Miller Valley’s iconic image featured on Miller High Life Bottles for more than 100 years.

“Holiday Lites are a special tradition for MillerCoors; it’s our gift to our hometown of Milwaukee and is one way we can show our appreciation to the community,” said Mike Jones, MillerCoors vice president of corporate affairs. “We encourage everyone to come out with their families and enjoy the spectacular show, and also learn more about the brewery, which is so much a part of Milwaukee’s history.”

The Holiday Lites show takes place each Friday and Saturday during December, beginning Friday, December 2, and running through Friday, December 23. Shows run every 20 minutes, beginning at 4:40 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are part of the free Miller Brewery Tours that begin at the Visitor Center, located at 42nd and State. In addition to the Lite Show, the Visitor Center will offer special discounts and giveaways to visitors following the tours. Visitors are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys-For-Tots or a non-perishable food item for Hunger Task Force. The Holiday Lites show is the largest display of its kind in the Midwest, with more than 300,000 energy-efficient LED lights that would stretch more than 30 miles if laid out end to end. This tradition began in the 1950s and was revitalized as part of Miller Brewing Company’s 150th anniversary celebration in 2005. This year marks the seventh year since the Lites show was reinstated.
