Coors Light and Zingo Nola Partner to Drive Home

To promote an enjoyable fan experience at the XXXVI State Farm Bayou Classic®, Coors Light is partnering with Zingo Nola, New Orleans’s premier designated driving service, to provide fans with an option for a safe ride home after the game. The classic match between the Grambling State University Tigers and the Southern University Jaguars football teams takes place on Saturday, November 28, at the Louisiana Superdome.

Through the “You hold the Key, Never Drive Drunk” program, Coors Light wants to remind Bayou Classic fans that drunk driving is completely preventable by always choosing a designated driver. Coors Light and Zingo Nola’s partnership reinforces the importance of planning ahead to ensure a safe ride home.

“As a company committed to Great Beer, Great Responsibility, we work to inspire and encourage consumers to share in this responsibility,” says Sheldon Boyea, brand manager, African American Marketing for MillerCoors. “When it comes to fans in the stadiums, we hope they plan ahead to never drive drunk.”

Coors Light, a sponsor of the Bayou Classic, has asked Zingo Nola to be the designated driver for the night. To educate Bayou Classic fans about this easy-to-use 24-hour service, Coors Light and Zingo Nola will have a booth at the State Farm Bayou Class Fan Fest during the game.
According to Jack Brighenti, president of Zingo Nola, people who ask for a driver will get a ride home in their own car for the same cost as a taxi. “Upon a visit to our booth at Fan Fest, a designated driver will be assigned to you,” says Brighenti. “The driver places a scooter in the car’s trunk, drops you and your car off safely, and then departs on the scooter.”
