When setting our goals, tracking our progress, and reporting on our sustainability, we focus on the issues that are the most material to the long-term success of MillerCoors. To identify which issues are the most material, we consider our stakeholders’ concerns and the factors that have the greatest potential to impact our business.
Process for Determining Materiality
To determine which issues are the most relevant to our sustainability, we gather the issues identified by our stakeholders and consider the opportunities and risks to our business.
We ask ourselves:
How does an issue align with our business strategy and goals?
How does an issue align with the business strategy and goals of our parent companies?
Does the issue affect our operations, brand or reputation?
Does the issue have a potential impact on our employees, suppliers, customers or communities?
Could the issue affect our societal license to operate or the regulations that govern our industry?
The most relevant issues for our sustainability are those issues most important to our stakeholders and that have the greatest potential to impact our business. Put another way, the most relevant issues have the highest materiality.
